From the north leave the A1 at junction A692 signposted to Consett and follow this road for 2½ miles to Sunniside. Continue on to the traffic lights where you should turn left on to the A6076 towards Stanley. Drive for ¼ mile then turn left just at the right hand bend and into Birkland Lane. Continue for 1 mile to the crossroads and turn right on to Birkhead Lane. Pass Birkhead Nursery on your right and continue for ¼ mile. Turn left at the sign for Hedley Hall Guest Accommodation and take the left fork in the track, signposted Hedley Hall. Go past livery yard onto the drive way to Hedley Hall.

From the A1 heading north take the junction after the Angel of the North statue, signposted Team Valley Retail World. At the roundabout take the first exit signposted Lamesley. Follow the road to a mini roundabout and turn right into Banesley Lane. Continue up the road for 1 mile passing Silver Hills Nursery on your left. Follow the road over the crossroad and take the next left which is opposite Ravensworth Forest Entrance. Drive to the next crossroad and go straight over. Pass Birkhead Nursery on your right and continue for ¼ mile. Turn left at the sign for Hedley Hall Guest Accommodation and take the left fork in the track, signposted Hedley Hall. Go past livery yard onto the drive way to Hedley Hall.
